Sure, he was dropped by his studio, but the man is worth millions, and still has no problem getting work. He brings in money, so he won’t go unemployed. But, this one has got to sting.
A movie is being planned about a German war hero, Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg (I totally had to copy/paste that), “Hitler’s would-be assassin”. Currently, Tom Cruise is marked as the top choice to play the hero, but the hero’s family has other ideas. They are afraid that Tom will turn the film into scientologist propaganda.
I’m sure for every person that dislikes him, there’s a larger number of people that do, but Tom still has to feel this. People may go see him play some fictional character, but when they find offense in him portraying a beloved family member it shows how they really feel.
Most educated people know that Tom Cruise is insane, but that won’t stop them from seeing his movies. Frankly, as an actor, who cares what he does with his personal life? Yea, we may not respect him, but if he acts alright, we’ll still see him. But, when he goes out of his way to publicize his ridiculous lifestyle, that’s when people start to wonder, and the backlash, however small, can sting bad.

LOL @ ‘Most educated people know that Tom Cruise is insane’ why he feels the need to espouse scientology to all and sundry is beyond me, people with wacky ideas should keep them to themselves. btw ever see the South Park take on it? Hilarious

He can afford to be insane! Insanity is only a luxury for the well off!

I world seriously recommend people looking for a good laugh to actually check out the scientology website. I do wonder, how is it that some one who can think rationally, actually believes in such stuff.

As Forest Gump once said, “stupid is as stupid does.” LOL!
Oh, I almost forgot to mention:
I never actually understood why Scientology became a religion. I mean, L. Ron Hubbard was the founder of the sci-fi stories in Scientology and he even admitted that he made the damn thing up! But then again, a lot of those organized religions seem like cults. I guess whatever floats your boat or tickles your fancy……

Good post. I study one thing more challenging on different blogs everyday. It will always be stimulating to learn content material from different writers and observe a little something from their store. I’d want to use some with the content on my weblog whether you don’t mind. Natually I’ll provide you with a hyperlink in your internet blog. Thanks for sharing.

You got that right… Insanity can definitely leave marks, especially if you’re a celebrity. There’s a trail of nonsensical antics marching down the yellow-brick road from here to Hollywood; the mental disease is spreading, so make sure you immunize yourself and constantly be ready to repel the asininity at hand…
