A new user-fueled Ubuntu magazine, Full Circle, is starting up. They’re looking for submissions from anyone willing to provide. I’m gonna see if I can work something up for them, and I’d suggest anyone else interested do the same.
The guidelines are simple (from the site):
- Write your article in whichever software you choose, I would recommend OpenOffice, but most importantly, PLEASE SPELL CHECK IT!
- In your article, please indicate where you would like a particular image to be placed.
- Images should be either JPG or PNG. If you must use JPG please use very little compression.
- Regarding image sizes; if in doubt, send a full size screengrab and I’ll reduce the size before publication.
- If you’re submitting a review, please follow these guidelines
- When you have done all of the above, please email your article to: articles@fullcirclemagazine.org. Same email address for Letters or anything else that is to be included in the magazine.
- Finally, post your article (with pictures) on the Ubuntu Magazine Wiki
Support the cause!

Full Circle Ubuntu Magazine? Hey, do they pay anything for you providing free articles for them? With all the freelance writing out there and people blogging for money, it would be hard to get enough people to write for nothing, unless they were really popular. I guess if it is covering topics that a person is really interested in, then it wouldn’t matter. Personally, I’d like to get paid or at least have a chance at earning some money or at the very minimum, gain some links back to my websites or blogs or whatever.
That reminds me, I once did a page entitled “Submit Articles for Free Backlinks!” over at: http://www.perpendicularity.org/submit-articles-free-backlinks.html
I’m actually reconsidering that option, due to all of the poor quality writers out there claiming to be professional publishers. I’ve had better luck performing simple reciprocal link exchanges from my literary resource page, if that tells ya anything.
Anyway, you got a cool, random blog here; cheers!
