Like I said, I’ve started a niche blog. Everything is set up and I’ve already made a few posts. I think it definitely has potential. The niche is somewhat unfulfilled right now, which is a bit of a double-edged sword. Obviously, there’s a hole that has the potential to be filled (profitably). On the other hand, there’s a small number of blogs to link-exchange with and feed off of via trackbacks and comments. What I need now is ideas.
I proposed this question over at Green Llama, and Leroy had some good suggestions including directories and trying to get some hits off social bookmarking sites (Digg, StumpleUpon, Delicious, etc). These are great suggestions, but I’d like to know what other ideas people have, so have at it. Let me know what I should be doing to get my site out there and start making some money.

Submissions in Niche is very useful in boosting your keywords. It needs less effort in doing same.

Niche blogs are actually a lot easier to manage and theme with a specific brand. For example, having a health & fitness blog is a popular niche. The adverts and generally relevant, it is easy to find other health-related websites to link exchange with, and so on. The only, or shall I say main, drawback is having to confine your articles to limited, germane topics.
I also have a Myths & Folklore blog that falls under another easy-to-write-about category and/or genre, except is it harder to find related blogs to swap links with, when compared to the other.

I personally prefer writing for blogs that don’t have a certain theme, sort of like this one, but niche blogs can definitely have their advantage.
However, it gets old writing about legends, folklore and myths, so one must move onto another niche or perhaps a non-niche blog, if you find yourself losing interest. Cheers!

Although maintaining a blog under the health & fitness niche is easy, to me, I still prefer the websites with more versatility and random subjects. For example, one site of mine was suppose to be geared for creative writing, but ended up being more about aliens and sexy babes, so go figure… Ha!
Good luck with the advertising of the niche blog or whatever; cheers!
