Wow, chalk this up as the most absurd story of the moment. Some rabid (def: carrier of rabies) fan of Paris Hilton’s has attempted to have her DUI (that’s driving drunk/endangering lives/generally having no regard for others) pardoned (oh yea, and her license was suspended) by sending a letter to the governator.
The author’s claim is that so many celebrities have gotten away with it so far, that it’s only fair. By the way, it’s only 45 days, and she’ll be separated from the other prisoners.
I won’t repeat the details here. Go read it for yourself. I can’t even put my frustrations into words, but let me quote one sentence:
“In my humble opinion, if the late Former President Gerald Ford could find it in his heart to pardon the late Former President Richard Nixon after his mistake(s), we as compassionate human beings can undeniably support Paris Hilton being pardoned for her honest mistake as well.”
That’s right. Paris Hilton was just compared to Richard Nixon. If that doesn’t make your head explode, you probably belong in the Paris Hilton fan club as well.

the “late former” richard nixon made “honest mistakes” I can’t breathe the irony is too thick. It seems that comparing paris hilton to arguably the second most dangerous president in this country’s history seems so beautifully ironic that I wonder if this was supposed to be satrical.

Everyone are doing mistakes then and there by knowing & unknowingly, But it hard to recognize our mistake to rectify.

Well, I would like to say that this type of stunt surprises me, but it doesn’t. What happened to having a real role model? We should be looking up to people who deserve our respect and show a good example.

That is a long shot of a comparison! Does that mean we should go create a doggie statue of Paris’ precious little TinkerBell? The Chihuahua that was “missing” and was found at the neighbors house? I think Paris should have had to do all 45 days. It would have served her right. Just because you are a celebrity doesn’t give you the right to endanger innocent people. Some “role model” she is.

Heather Locklear joined the bunch this month with a DUI arrest when she ended up parking her car on the highway.

Paris Hilton probably needs fan pardons from all her other news worthy events before she needs to worry about this one.

haha I didn’t know she really has fans because she is a celebrity just because of her name and because of all her “mistakes”

This is just too rich [as in overly funny]. The audacity [of hope by president Barrack Obama] that some people have. But, you have to hand it to her, she is one smart [devious, cunning, conniving] cookie. My question is who delivered the letter.
I wonder if with all the bailouts, that businesses won’t all turn to Obama and send him a letter of “if you were able to find it in your heart to bail out the banks on wall street, could you find it in your heart to bail out, T-Bones Rib Shack on 13th and Martin Luther King Blvd”.
But, seriously. DUI is no laughing matter.

WITH SLAVERY, PIRACY, PESTILENCE, and NATURAL DISASTERS ON THE UPSWING in comes Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Lindsey Lohan, and Brittany Spears who are still making front page news. The most engaging of global news is conflict, or Paris Hilton. Now, if you look at different media formats around the world, regional, you’ll regularly find the faces of celebrities flaunting their drinking habits, drug addictions, and porn video’s yet, sadly none of them have any appreciable talents aside from making front page news and boasting a collection of followers. These celebrities could drink crude oil, promote that it is healthy and their devoted entourage of followers would believe them.
and yes, seriously. DUI is no laughing matter.

It’s amazing that with the economy the way t is and with more people jobless in America than ever that Paris Hilton, Jessica Simpson, Lindsey Lohan, and Brittany Spears are still making front page news. They all seem to find their ridiculous behavior funny and laugh it off as if they have done nothing and that the world has inconvenienced them. it’s embarrassing and they should be ashamed of themselves.
DUI is no laughing matter. If someone had seriously gotten hurt, I doubt they would be laughing on their way to jail.
