Welcome to Oceania

May 2nd, 2007 · 5 Comments

Something is going horrifically wrong in this country. We have a president that’s supposed to represent our population but ignores its majority. 50% of the officials in the national government are in some kind of trouble. A number of them can’t seem to keep it in their pants.

And now this. Suddenly people on the front lines, those who are face to face with our country’s greatest challenge are being silenced. A drastic change needs to take place, and soon. No one cares about the rules anymore, and apparently there’s no way to stop it.

If you haven’t read 1984 or Brave New World yet, you had better so you know where we’re headed. Or maybe Cat’s Cradle is more appropriate.

Welcome to Oceania? Are you talking about the Oceania that was originally conceived as the lands of the Pacific Ocean, stretching from the Straits of Malacca to the coast of the Americas. It comprised four regions: Polynesia, Micronesia, Malaysia (now called the Malay Archipelago), and Melanesia (now called Australasia). If you are talking about such thing: Included are parts of three geological continents, Eurasia, Australia, and Zealandia, as well the non-continental volcanic islands of the Philippines, Wallacea, and the open Pacific. It extends to Sumatra in the west, the Bonin Islands in the northwest, the Hawaiian Islands in the northeast, Rapa Nui and Sala y Gómez Island in the east, and Macquarie Island in the south, but excludes Taiwan and the Ryukyu, Japanese, and Aleutian Islands of the margins of Asia.

As for all that other, yeah, the world seems to be in a downward spiral, sort of like when a toilet flushes; maybe we can turn it around before it is too late. Hey, it might be a good time to start selling products online. If you’re interested in commercial and affiliate sales, you might want to start here:

I haven’t read those books you spoke about in this post; I may have to check ‘em out; cheers!

Mundane Life spoke about the world seemingly being in a downward spiral, like when we flush the toilet. Hey, do you mean like, when black holes create spiral galaxies, like what is described on the post, here:

Yeah, uh, welcome to Oceania, whatever that is… Hmm, it sort of sounds mythical; LOL!

Yeah, Myths & Legends, something like that, but without the folklore… Ha-ha!
