Well after a minimal amount of work (and in a very under-served market) I’ve reached the number 2 spot in Google’s SERPs for ‘rotten bananas’. There is one rotten banana hating clown ahead of me (members.tripod.com/~rottenbananas - Not giving him a link), but it won’t be long until I’ve claimed my rightful position and can continue to confuse the masses searching for help with their old fruit.
I’d like to start marketing for other keywords, but honestly, I can’t think of any that are appropriate. I don’t really have a focus per se. It is exciting to be number one in any capacity though. I’ve got a new project in the works to take a stab at some SEO and non-standard marketing techniques while also trying to do something good for this country. I’ll be updating on that here as well.

Getting one of the first ranking positions in Google for a particular keyword is not a coincidence but I suppose you got it after hundreds of hours of hard work. Congratulations.

Keyword stuffing is a thing of the past. It does nothing but get your site banned by the search engines.

What really sucks is probably the only reason that free hosting tripod page is ahead of yours is because of how big tripod is in general. Get a few more quality links going to your site and you’ll be in #1 before you know it. Best of luck with your new project!

Just searched Google for “Rotten Bananas” and found a couple of listings on top of this blog, and the Urban dictionary definition of a “Rotten Banana”, pretty crazy!
