Well after a minimal amount of work (and in a very under-served market) I’ve reached the number 2 spot in Google’s SERPs for ‘rotten bananas’. There is one rotten banana hating clown ahead of me (members.tripod.com/~rottenbananas - Not giving him a link), but it won’t be long until I’ve claimed my rightful position and can continue to confuse the masses searching for help with their old fruit.
I’d like to start marketing for other keywords, but honestly, I can’t think of any that are appropriate. I don’t really have a focus per se. It is exciting to be number one in any capacity though. I’ve got a new project in the works to take a stab at some SEO and non-standard marketing techniques while also trying to do something good for this country. I’ll be updating on that here as well.

Getting one of the first ranking positions in Google for a particular keyword is not a coincidence but I suppose you got it after hundreds of hours of hard work. Congratulations.

Looks like there are two ahead of you now. Funny how Google works sometimes. By the way, Yahoo says that the one in first place (the one you reference) has almost 6,000,000 backlinks.

Keyword stuffing is a thing of the past. It does nothing but get your site banned by the search engines.

Congrats. My own rankings seem to go up and down like crazy. One day I’ll see that I finally cracked the first page, the next day its dropped back to its normal place on page 2.
